Project 2
In project 2, we are to pick one popular fairy-tale story and create an
audiobook. In this task, we not only need to think about suitable
soundscape, but we need to record the voice with the suitable voice acting
and bring it all together with sound effects and background music to
highlight and enhance the storytelling experience.
Choice of Story
I picked the Puss In Boots movie as my choice as it would be easier to
find the movie and take snippets of it. Plus, it was either that or 'How to Train Your Dragon' but the movie is hard to highlight the sound effects for
dragons and background sounds so I did not go with it.
Story Script
The above is a rough draft of my script before finalizing it, seen below. I expanded on the original script more so that it would fit the 2 minute timeframe.

Sound Effects
After that, I listed down the sound effects and compared it with what
ChatGPT gave me. From doing so, I could tell if I had most of the
important sound details needed for the scenes. Then, I searched for the
sound effects from freesound. Though, I can't find all of it from there so
I opted to finding it on Pixabay while making sure the quality is good to
be used.

Audio Editing
First, I recorded my voice using a mic and by following the script. I tried to record in a quiet environment. I recorded it multiple times until I was satisfied with it. For the different characters and their dialogue, I would edit the pitch of my voice to match the character better.
After the recording was finished, I placed the files in Adobe Audition along with the sound effects and background music I found.

Visuals
I rewatched the movie and took snippets of it to be used at the end when I edit it into one video with the final audio. I tried to find images that matched each line of the script so it would sync better and look like an actual story audiobook. Since the script was more or less a summary of the movie, it was quite easy to find the main important shots that I need to visualize each scene.

Video Editing
When the final audio was done and the visuals were collected, I placed everything in Premiere Pro and synced the clips with the audio. This was simple to do because when I was looking for images, I labelled them in sequence which they would be used.

Week 7
The project is mostly on the editing of the voice like removing the sss
sound, editing the unneeded parts and more. Use music when you have to.
Reflection
This project is pretty fun being able to tell a story I enjoy and doing the voiceovers of the characters.
Most of the time were used in recording the voiceover as it had to sound good and finding the audios that sound the way I wanted them to. The easiest part was finding the visuals as all I had to do was watch the movie and capture scenes that best represent what was being said.
