Project 2
This project is a continuation of Project 1 : Instructable
Infographic.
We are required to use the assets from Project 1 Instructable Infographic poster into a
60-second motion graphic. Once again, capture the aesthetics and
narrative of the poster with movements, SFX, and music.
Requirements
- Duration: max 60 seconds infographic video
- Video resolution: 720p (1280 x 720 pixels)
- Format: H26/mp4 published on YouTube (unlisted)
Storyboard
This is the storyboard that I came up with in class. It is a sketch
on how I would want my animation would look like before starting as
planning is crucial.
I made sure that each steps of the recipe has its own shot in order
to make sure I hit the requirements for the duration of the
video.
Assets
Since it is a continuation from Project 1, I had most of the assets
needed for the video which saved me time to proceed to
animating.
However, I had to take more time as I forgot to make sure the
elements are in their own layers in order for them to move. I got
bored so yes I was watching a movie while separating the layers for
the assests.
Animation time
I was taking my time animating as I was sort of rusty as it had
been awhile since I've used after effects. At first, I was
experimenting all the options there were like opacity, position,
scale, rotation, mask and more.
There were times when I had to go back and forth as my silly self
forget to separate the layers I was gonna manipulate in after
effects.
Then, after effects crashed on me and I took some time off before
revisiting after effects all over again. I'm too broke to add on
more rams so I resulted to working in silence which was weird.
Premiere Pro Edit Time
The best part of this whole project is compiling the footages into
one video. It only takes a few minutes without alterations. I looked
for some background music to give some italian vibes to jam on while
one follows the recipe. I'm still craving for my pasta at the end of
this project.
