On this week, we learnt about the principles of designing a poster. A designer should know the principles of design to create an amazing composiotion. The fundamental principles of design are: Emphasis, Balance and Alignment, Contrast, Repetition, Proportion, Movement and White Space.

We were given a few videos to watch.









Practical
Recolouring Black & White Photo Exercise 1



For this practical, we are tasked to recolour this black-and-white image following the YouTube tutorial.

Recolouring Black & White Photo Exercise 2
For the second exercise, we have to follow along with this video tutorial on advanced recolouring. We are tasked to recolour the grey photo using the skin and hair colour as references. 









After following the video tutorial, we have to select and recolour one black-and-white image provided in Google Drive. We have to search online for skin and hair colour references.






Reflection
The fundamental principles of design are Emphasis, Balance and Alignment, Contrast, Repetition, Proportion, Movement, and White Space. We learned this in the Design Principles and again in this module. Therefore, this tells me that the principles are very important for a designer. I had fun recoloring the black and white images.
