Project 3: Concept Presentation
This task serves as the culmination of the project development process, bringing together the ideas formulated in Task 1 (Proposal Development) and the design explorations conducted in Task 2 (Design Proposition). In this phase, students will refine and present their final design solution, demonstrating its feasibility and effectiveness in addressing the identified needs of their target audience.

The presentation will focus on the technical, creative, and conceptual strengths of the project, highlighting the design decisions, development process, and technical feasibility tests. Students must effectively communicate their work through a well-structured presentation, emphasizing attention to detail, organization, content clarity, presentation formatting, aesthetics, and style, ensuring that the project meets industry standards and practical execution requirements.

Task 3 - Concept Presentation Deliverables

After the completion of Task 2, we moved on to Task 3 where we finished developing all the content necessary. Since there was only a week left to complete everything, we divided the tasks among ourselves.
  • Animatics: Han + ChaoRan
  • Poses & expressions: Adriena
  • Testing: Wan Qing
Animatics
Based on the approved storyboard, we immediately did our animatics. This is my section of the animatics that I worked on based on the storyboard. This was done using Procreate on iPad. I worked on the boards 9 to 12 and 16, while Wan Qing did the animatics of storyboard 5 to 8, 13 and 14. ChaoRan did storyboard 1 to 4, and Adriena did storyboard 15.

Poses & Expressions
While we were working on the animatics, Adriena did the poses and expressions of all the characters.

Testing
Wan Qing tested out the animation using Grease Pencil to see how the movement will look, as well as linked it to the 3D layout with Blender.

Feedback
  • Can shorten some of the scene
  • Showcase the unique point of our character better in the first few scenes
  • Go watch Spookiz, it is a good 3D animation
  • Can consider changing it into completely 3D; if going for 2D, need to be dynamic
  • 3D (can trick for some scenes), explore it
  • Play more with perspective (Storyboard)
  • Needs to be solid to our demographic
  • Solidify it
  • We need to find more reference
  • study the effects and wow factors
